below are few "Master piece" by fellow classmates.. colour rendering by colouring pencil. =)

The first one is called Blending Colours

The second one, is a wrong concept of blending colours

Gradiently, it has to slowly turn from yellow to dark orange

Today, actually, i'm going to repeat Mr. Cesars lecture last tuesday

out of no ideas, i've come up with one hopeless and useless leaf to colour

by the way, i'll be talking shit on Colour Rendering

i may be wrong

but, this is WHAT I THINK larr.. lol..

if u guys out there know more, i'm so happy for u

as i've mentioned, i'm doing this out of boredom and... I AM NOT GOOD AT DRAWING OR COLOURING!

ergh

MrCesar asked us to start with yellow

WHITE is not a colour

must start any and every object with yellow

then slowly blend in your colours

when u finished

add in the lightest green

fill it up with green

add dark green on the lower sides

or whichever side which u think is shaded or covered away from light

after you're done with dark green

touch it up a bit to emphasize on the shape of the leaf

i might have done this wrongly because my leaf isn't 3d

lol

but if u shade dark colours wrongly, it'll look wierd..

as if u're trying to line the sides of the leaf.

which will turn out very ugly..

tadddaaaa...!!

add dark blue..

is to darken places which u think dark green isn't dark enough

DO NOT USE BLACK

it will look very ugly and dirty

therefore, use either dark blue or dark purple..

normally i use blue

for red coloured objects too..

if there are some part which dark red isn't dark enough, blend dark blue in..

it will look quite natural and it blends in..

BLACK wouldn't..

touch up ur leaf with yelllow if u find ur leaf too dull or too dark

whe'n i've finished colouring, i noticed that the ink has sort of faded..

stupid photocopy machine..

kinda made my colouring look so dirty and cheap..

so i took out my technical pens

and drew it again

over the colours

u can see the difference.. the top part of the building (which is done) and the lower part..

but it turned out to be like a piece of wierd shadow

i also thought it was kinda fun if i were to add on some clouds

but it made my overall drawing look like some kiddos colouring

Soft Pastel

C O L O U R will be our best friend for this semester! Rendering not only can be done by artline pen. We learned rendering by colour pencil this week & the coming week we are going to use SOFT PASTEL OR OIL PASTEL, so do remember to bring to class next tuesday. To those who haven't have it, go grab it in the art shop! you can get it in Jusco too. Both of them are easily found in most of the places.=)

*Get ready with: water colour, maker pen... for the next next next drawing class .

this is how SOFT PASTEL look like, if you scared you got it wrong. hahaha! just grab a box of colours which stated "Soft Pastel" infront of the box and you won't be wrong. =)

The one I bought is only 24 pieces (rm29.50), if you want more choices of colours, 48 pieces are available.. go check it out!! =)
